Will performing modifications to my vehicle impact my warranty?
Should any failure be a result of engineering specifications being changed, the warranty may not apply to components that require replacement or conditions that occur as a result of the modifications. However, the modifications must have directly attributed to the relevant failure – e.g. if vehicle suspension is lowered it may cause vibration in the vehicle. This may not be a warrantable defect.
My vehicle has missed a scheduled service. Will this be a problem in relation to my warranty?
Failure to service your vehicle in accordance with Mitsubishi recommendations may affect your warranty. To find out more, please speak to your dealer.
I have purchased a second hand Mitsubishi vehicle; is there still a warranty?
If you have purchased your vehicle within 3 years of the first registration date you are entitled to the remainder of the initial 3 year manufacturer’s warranty. The Mitsubishi Diamond Advantage Warranty is not transferrable to any subsequent owners. For more information please see your Service Plan booklet in your vehicle’s glove compartment or contact 0800 54 53 52.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Take your vehicle to your local Mitsubishi Dealership for diagnosis. They will then be able to advise you on your claim.
What warranty does Outlander PHEV have?
Outlander PHEV comes with a 5 year/100,00km comprehensive manufacturer’s warranty plus 5 years premium road side assistance.
You’ll also receive an eight year warranty specific to the drive battery, which is very reassuring for one of the vehicle’s main components. Please note that this is only for 2017 Model Year and onwards. For more information consult your vehicle handbook or talk to a MMNZ representative or dealer.
Are the costs for servicing covered by the Diamond Advantage Warranty?
Mitsubishi Motors Diamond Advantage Warranty does not include the cost of servicing. Please discuss your servicing requirements and costs with your local Mitsubishi dealer.
Is my 1,500km or 1st Month Check classed as a service?
The 1,500km check is a complimentary vehicle examination after settling period of 1,500km or 1 month. This is not classed as a full service. Your vehicle service will be due 12 months or 15,000km from date of first registration
What is does ‘revalidation of warranty’ mean?
The revalidation of warranty is a free 20-minute check conducted by your Mitsubishi dealership after 36 or 60 months of ownership to ensure you have met your service requirements correctly. If you have met the service and warranty requirements your warranty will then be extended.
You will receive a letter from Mitsubishi when this check is due to be carried out; this usually coincides with your annual service as it falls on the date your vehicle was first registered.
